The wake

Volnushka - a fungus belonging to the genus Mlechnik, the family of Syroezhkov. Most often, you can find a pink and white tremushka. They certainly grow in sandy and siliceous soil in the forest. Favorable soil is under birch trees.

The mushroom cap is not wide, the maximum value was fixed at 11 cm, and on average it reaches no more than 8 cm. The young mushroom has a convex hat, which begins to flow with age. The edges are always wrapped inward. On the surface of the hat are thick hairs that hang from the ends, which gives the fungus some features. The older the plant, the braids are less noticeable.

The hat is pale pink, but when exposed to sunlight, it may turn yellow. The pulp has the same color, dense and dry structure.

The waves have all the plates of the same color with a hat, but sometimes they can be paler. When cut, it starts up juice of bright yellow color and does not change it when air enters.

Compared with a hat, the leg is much paler, but it has a dense structure. The surface is smooth. In rare cases, slight dark depressions can be observed on the surface. Even less often, it is hollow. The leg of the mushroom reaches no more than 6 cm.

The edible thrush has interesting flavoring features. In its raw form, it is impossible to eat the mushroom due to causticity, and when boiling it acquires a pleasant taste. But with any heat treatment, the product remains natural sharpness. When cooking, it completely loses bitterness. The smell does not change, it remains as pleasant, earthy.

Are these mushrooms harmful

Doctors do not recommend using this product for people with low acidity of gastric juice, as well as for patients diagnosed with inflammation of the gallbladder and pancreas. It is also worth limiting the use of patients who have previously removed the gallbladder. Doctors attribute this to the fact that the thrush has a special juice composition. Although the juice loses its bitterness during heat treatment, it does not change its contents.

Doctors do not recommend using this product for young children. In general, this variety belongs to the category of harmless and is approved for use, just do not abuse it.

Is it possible to poison

Volnushki is a conditionally edible product, that is, before any use, they must be carefully processed. The composition of mushrooms includes caustic and bitter elements, which can cause significant eating disorders.

If you eat an unprocessed product, then after several hours you can observe nausea, diarrhea and pain in the epigastric region. Feeling unwell can last several days. How hard it will go will depend on the individual characteristics of the body. In case of poisoning, the intestinal mucosa and the walls of the stomach begin to inflame. To quickly return to normal condition, you need bed rest, plenty of drinking and abstinence from food for two days.

If you go to a medical facility for help, astringent drugs and adsorbents will be prescribed.

To prevent poisoning, it is necessary to boil the mushrooms for 15 minutes, so that harmful substances are completely removed from them.

How to store

Flakes are dry mushrooms that do not have characteristic mucus. They can easily be stored for 4-5 days in the refrigerator. Just do not put them in a bag, there they will deteriorate faster. For storage, it is enough to use any open utensils.

If you decide to use sterilization, then they can be stored for up to 1.5 years. Just keep them in a cold room. You can also freeze them. The shelf life in this case is one year.

Recipes

Consider a few recipes for cooking waves at home. The most common way is salting for the winter. Young and small mushrooms are better suited for this. How to salt?

Salt the throttles correctly, a proven way. Before salting, you need to carefully process them.

To properly marinate and not poison, they need to be soaked for at least 6 hours. During this time, you need to change the water twice. Thus you will remove all the bitterness.

So, proceed to pickling. After you have soaked the mushrooms, cut them in half (if they are large, then it can be 4 parts), and put them in a pan. Fill with hot water and boil for about half an hour. After we discard the mushrooms in a colander. We bring the water for the marinade to a boil and add spices to taste. Once the marinade boils, you can return the mushrooms there and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes.

During this time, we must sterilize the banks. We spread the pickled mushrooms to the very top. In each liter jar, add 1 teaspoon of vinegar and pour the marinade to the brim.

Now it remains only to roll up the cans and cover them with a warm blanket until they cool completely.

Now we will tell you how to cook fried mushrooms. Many are interested in the question of whether it is possible to fry them, because they are considered conditionally edible. They can not be eaten raw, but when they are cooked, they lose all the harmful elements. Recall that traps are high in various vitamins and minerals.

Also in their composition there is fiber, carbohydrates, amino acids and proteins. All these microelements contribute to the full functioning of our body. It’s easy to fry traps, and the recipe is available to everyone. Therefore, even an inexperienced cook can cope with this task.

So, before you start cooking, you need to thoroughly soak them and rinse under cold running water. Pay attention to the area under the hat, because it is there that the most accumulates dirt.

In a pre-heated skillet, we fry the garlic in butter (literally a minute) and add the boiled mushrooms. Fry for five minutes and add spices to taste.
